Queen size shaded nine patch quilted by Country Frog Quilter (Carol). The border took longer to make than the rest of the quilt, and much longer to plan out.

Guild Snippets

Meeting Location:  Masonic Lodge in Chehalis.  Take the Hwy6 Exit and go East into Chehalis.  The Masonic Lodge is through three lights and is on the right.  The address is 123 Main Street.  Parking is across the street or at Cascade Mental Health.  The parking lot for Cascade Mental Health is on the right side of the street just before you get to the Masonic Lodge.

Current Happenings:

  • 2008 Raffle Quilt: The drawing was held at the Retreat on April 27th.  Jim Novotny was the lucky winner!  There is a picture on the Raffle Quilt page.
  • Color Boxes:  The 2008 color boxes are circulating.  If you wish to participate and haven't signed up, talk to LouAnn.  There may be a few spots left.
  • 2009 Raffle Quilt:  The quilt is being bound and once finished a picture will be posted on the Raffle Quilt page.  Contact David Christensen to purchase or sell tickets.
  • Calendar:  The committee selected the pictures to include and prepared a mock up.  A committment from the members to sell the calendars is needed before proceeding with printing.

Web Quilt:  The 2008 Web Quilt is in the construction phase.  Debby Gregory, Sandra Hollon, Nori Lamphere and LouAnn White designed the quilt.  Make sure to do your weekly signups for your chance to win the new Web Quilt. The signup form is on the photo gallery page.  If you don't see any thumbnails, scroll down.

Activities

 

Mystery Quilt:  The Fabric Requirements, Cutting Instructions, Step One and Step Two have been distributed.  Remaining steps will be distributed monthly at the meetings.

Quilt Challenge:  Packets are still available for the 2008 challenge;.  To purchase for $5.00 contact Joy Danzer.  The quilts will be displayed and judged at the August Potluck. 

Secret Stitchers:  There are 21 quilters participating in the 08 - 09 Secret Stitchers program which runs May through April.

UnFinished Objects (UFOs):  This is an ongoing program to encourage completion of those projects we have in process.  Bring your UFO to a meeting, share it during Show & Tell, and complete the registration form.  When it's complete bring it back and your name is entered in a drawing for a prize.

Round Robin:  The Round Robin started at the February Meeting and concludes at the July meeting.  Seven quilters are participating.
