Winter PotluckThe program for the December regular meeting is the Winter Potluck. The event includes a block exchange and collections for the Guild's adopted family. Block Exchange: A pattern and colorway for a block is selected. Members make as many blocks as they want and bring them to the meeting. For each block entered their name is placed in a drawing for all the blocks. If enough blocks are entered they're divided into two sets and there are two lucky winners. Adopted Family: Each year the Guild adopts a family in need for the holidays. A quilt is made for the parent(s) and each child. Members also bring donations of food, clothing and toys to the Winter Potluck. The quilts, donated items and a gift card to a local grocery store provided by the Guild are delivered to the family in the week following the meeting. |
