SWW Rainy Daze Quilt Guild

Welcome!

Welcome to Southwest Washington Rainy Daze Quilt Guild.  We are a 501(3)(c) organized community quilting group based in Lewis County Washington.  We hope you will get involved in our projects and activities.  By doing so, you will be joining an active group of creative people who represent the whole spectrum of quilting, from traditional to contemporary, from inexperienced to master quilters!  Our common bond is our love for the art of quilting and our desire to share the experience with other quilters and our community.

As a Guild member there are many opportunities for you to interact with other people interested in quilting.  Our monthly meetings, held on the second Tuesday of each month, start at 6:30 p.m. with a social half hour.  During the social time members may visit with committee chairs who are coordinating special activities, look through our library, or just get to know fellow quilters better.  After the social half hour we have a busines meeting, followed by Show and Tell where members share their completed work.  The meeting concludes with a program, which varies from month to month and are designed to motivate, inform and entertain.

Meeting Location:  Cooks Hill Community Church, 2400 Cooks Hill Rd, Centralia, WA.  Click for directions and a map.

The 2011 Board Members and Organizational Chart can be accessed by clicking here.

We have a recurring open sew day called "Sew Daze' held on select Saturdays from 8:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.  Members come with their current projects and work for as long as they choose.  An informal potluck is the menu of the day.  The Guild also offers classes during the year.

The Guild sponsors a Retreat during even numbered years and a Quilt Show during odd numbered years.  Please click the Retreat and Guild Show tabs at the top of the page for additional information.

Membership participation and community support are vital to our goal of the promotion and preservation of the art of quilt making through education, workshops, lectures, and demonstration. We invite you to join us.
